About Us
HealthAide (HAI) was incorporated on January 26, 2004 in the state of Oklahoma. The company has operated as a private investment company whose focus is on formulation, development, and evaluation of novel and unique products based on the functional attributes of a dipeptide ester. Key observations included evidence that this dipeptide ester is a potent inhibitor of cyclo-oxygenase 1 and 2 (COX-1 and COX-2), as well as its ability to reduce inflammatory cytokine release from human blood cells. These two properties contribute to the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of the compound making it a virtual substitute for both NSAIDs and corticosteroids. A third property of the dipeptide ester is its ability to enhance bone development, strength and density. HAI plans to use all of the functional attributes of the dipeptide ester to advantage in both human and animal product applications.

The original intellectual property for the company was licensed from The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) in Oklahoma City. The IP licensed from OMRFconsisted of 4 issued patents and two patents that are pending. HAI has since added three new patent applications (see list patents).

HAI operates at minimal overhead and maximal efficiency assuring that most of the early investment capital is used for IP protection, product development, and evaluation studies. Later phase investments will be used in marketing and expanding our unique line of products.

The operating goals of HAI are to formulate novel and safer products having greater and broader efficacy than those of our competition.

Product Line

Skin Care
The skin care line of products is a good example of this strategy. The JUST ONE skin care products by DermaZaide were developed to treat a wider range of skin irritations and conditions than usually offered by OTC skin treatment products. There is a decided cost advantage for our customers because our products help the consumer avoid buying a number of skin care products to treat their various skin problems while offering a more effective and safer corticosteroid-free product. Although there is a world-wide market for our skin care products, we will initially work with marketing partners and target US retail chains and convenience stores. Pet Care
HAI’s line of animal products include a therapeutic dog treat for joint, muscle and bone maintenance and pain relief. The dog treat product is offered as a health product to prevent or delay joint and bone degeneration. A significant advantage of our formulation is that all sugars can be deleted from the treat product and still retain a taste that dogs love. A Dr.JMB animal skin care product with Canzea tm is designed to treat or eliminate rash, itch and various skin irritations such as insect bites in both pets and farm animals. Our marketing plan includes sales to pet supply chains, retail food chains, pet care clinics and veterinarians.

Muscle Care
HAI is currently developing a line of oral OTC products to increase energy and reduce muscle soreness and cramping. The known physiologic properties of the dipeptide ester include increased blood flow and better removal of lactic acid from muscles as well as delivery of key minerals like calcium and magnesium to prevent muscle cramps. This new chewable product called NutraZaide will be on the market sometime in 2011.
